Dr. med. Anke Schneiders has been part of Oberwaid since 2019 and has played a key role in shaping the institution’s medical development. As a specialist in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (FMH) and a specialist in Psychosomatic and Psychosocial Medicine (SAPPM), she combines outstanding medical expertise with many years of leadership and management experience. After joining Oberwaid as Deputy Head of the Psychosomatics Department, she took over as Head of the Department in 2020. In this role, she drove its expansion and structural development.
She combines professional expertise with a strong and committed leadership style. This reflects the combination of medical excellence and humanity that distinguishes Oberwaid.
Before returning to direct patient care, she held senior positions at an international pharmaceutical company in Paris, Buenos Aires and London. There, she led regional research and development teams focusing on neuropsychiatry and cardiovascular medicine.
Her clinical work is characterised by a deep understanding of psychosomatic interrelationships and a consistently patient-centred approach.
After referral by the primary family doctor or specialist, a preliminary outpatient consultation takes place, in order to establish the psychosomatic issue and the indication for inpatient therapy. Following this, the supervisor will apply for a cost credit and thus fix the assumption of costs by the health insurance company.
We are at your disposal with professional advice and are happy to help you with the formalities.
